SCHENECTADY – There is a piece of the world captured in the art of Lynn Bunnell and it will soon be on display at the Moon and River Café in Schenectady. Join us for a wonderful evening on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. for the launch of her exhibit. The Dave Kitchen Trio will also be performing jazz at 7 p.m.
This may be the last opportunity for locals to see Bunnell’s work as she is moving south with her family for retirement. This 80-year-old artist has been creating amazing pieces, from silk screen prints to paintings in oil and pastels, her whole life throughout the Capital Region.
Bunnell has displayed and sold her artwork at various venues in the area such as the Albany Center Gallery and The Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy. Her work has also been featured in juried shows like BUILT Show and September Splendor in Albany, where she has won prizes.
What captures Bunnell’s artistic eye are the abstract nature of light, colors, and shapes in the urban landscape. She particularly enjoys quirky scenes and architectural details found both indoors and outdoors during her walks in Albany or travels.
The Moon and River Café is delighted to feature Bunnell’s art and is selling some of her pieces which would make great Christmas gifts. Make sure to also check out their website at https://www.moonandriver.com/ for more information about the café.
Prices for Bunnell’s artwork range from $90 to $400. If you want to see more of her stunning work, visit her website at https://www.lynnebunnellart.com.
