Tragedy Strikes Mount Marapi: 22 Confirmed Dead in Eruption
It was a weekend of tragedy on the slopes of Indonesia’s Mount Marapi, as a surprise eruption claimed the lives of 22 climbers, with one person still missing. The initial eruption on Sunday caught more than 50 climbers off guard, resulting in the rescue of some, but the tragic loss of others.
