UAlbany Women’s Basketball Freshman Deja Evans Named America East Rookie of the Week
ALBANY — UAlbany women’s basketball freshman Deja Evans has been making waves with her outstanding performance on the court. With an average of eight points and six rebounds per game during a 2-0 week, Evans has rightfully earned the America East Rookie of the Week honors.
Standing tall at 6-foot-2, Evans has been a key starter for the team and played a crucial role in helping 9-2 UAlbany secure wins against Dartmouth and Stonehill this past week. Her stellar performance has not gone unnoticed, and the conference rewarded her with the well-deserved honor on Monday.
So far this season, Evans has been maintaining an impressive average of 6.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, showcasing her talent and dedication to the sport.
