Basketball Action: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Triumphs in Shawn Walsh Memorial Tournament

Exciting basketball action⁢ unfolded at the ⁣Shawn Walsh Memorial Tournament hosted by‌ Burnt⁣ Hills on Wednesday. In⁣ a thrilling match, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake emerged victorious with a 56-46⁤ win over Saugerties. Ben Kline led the Spartans with an impressive​ 18 ⁢points, while John Klopfer contributed 15 points to secure ⁤the win.

Meanwhile, in another intense game at the Shawn Walsh Tournament, Averill Park secured a 57-48 victory ⁣over Queensbury. Jacob Phelps shone with 18 points⁣ for⁤ Averill Park, while ‌Troy Jorgensen led the Spartans with 13 points.

Over at the Colonie ​Tournament, Colonie dominated the court ⁣with a⁤ 70-44‍ win over Pittsfield (Mass.). Julius Reed, Cam Trimarchi, and⁣ Trey Owens-Cody showcased their skills with 17, 16, ​and 12 points⁣ respectively, securing a ⁢resounding victory for Colonie.

Not to ⁣be outdone, LaSalle and Bethlehem‍ battled it out in the CBA Tournament, ‌with LaSalle emerging ‌victorious with ⁤a narrow 45-43 win. Tra’dell Faison and Davon Maloney led the charge for the Cadets, scoring 20 and 18 points respectively, while Cam LaClair put up a valiant effort with 20 points for the Eagles.

Other standout ‍performances included Kellen‌ Driscoll’s impressive 21 points, leading Glens Falls to a commanding 96-42 victory⁢ over​ Fair Haven (Vt.) ⁣in ⁢the‍ Glens Falls Holiday Tournament. Brady​ Smith also made his mark with 29 points, propelling South Glens Falls ‍to a 77-67 win⁢ over Hoosick Falls in the Glens⁣ Falls Tournament. ‍Dayne Coates ⁤showcased his skills with 26 points, leading Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a ⁣convincing 92-51 victory over⁤ Cairo-Durham in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo ⁢Tournament.

Additionally, Mayfield secured a hard-fought win over​ OESJ in the Woodward⁢ Tournament at Northville High School, with Sean Foreman’s outstanding performance of 17 points and ​21 ⁣rebounds. Senior Brody Page ​also made a significant impact with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and‌ seven assists for ‌the Panthers, while Collin ‌Eakin led OESJ with 17 points and eight rebounds.
