Jordan Collar’s impressive performance led Gloversville to a 51-35 victory over Mohonasen in a non-conference boys’ basketball game. Collar scored 10 of his 15 points in the first quarter, setting the tone for the game. On the other side, Jordon Knight led Mohonasen with 10 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.
In another game, Middleburgh dominated Northville with a 56-34 victory in the Western Athletic Conference. Eric Pickering led Middleburgh with 17 points, followed by JJ Harzymski with 14 and Guillermo Martinez with 12. Kevin Becotte and Landon Fraser were the top scorers for Northville, each contributing seven points to their team’s total.
GIRLS
Queensbury secured a 62-47 non-conference win over Mohonasen, outscoring them 20-8 in the fourth quarter. Shea Canavan led the charge for Queensbury with 18 points and an impressive nine steals. Her performance also earned her a spot in the school’s history books as the seventh player to collect at least 200 career steals, with a total of 205 steals in her career.
Kaitlyn Barton had a standout game with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Dyllan Ray and Quinn Jones also contributed to the win with 14 and 11 points, respectively. On the other side, Isabella Petrocci led Mohonasen with 14 points.
