SCHENECTADY — Union College has announced the appointment of Jon Drach as the 35th head coach in Union football history. Drach, who previously served as the head coach for six years at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, expressed his excitement and commitment to the Union community during his introduction.
Drach, a 2004 graduate of Western Michigan University, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program, having spent 12 seasons in the Liberty League at Hobart College. His familiarity with the program’s history and the dynamics of the Liberty League make him a valuable addition to the Union football team.
During his tenure at Wilkes, Drach successfully turned around a program that had gone 0-10 in 2017, leading the Colonels to winning seasons in each of his first four campaigns at the helm. His impressive track record and commitment to excellence make him a strong candidate to continue Union’s tradition of success.
