Watson’s Heroic Performance Leads RPI to‍ Victory

Goalie⁤ Jack Watson put on a show, making an ⁣impressive 37 saves‍ to lead ⁢the ⁣RPI men’s hockey team ⁢to a ‌thrilling 2-1 ECAC Hockey victory‌ over Brown at‌ Houston Field House. ⁣Watson, who missed Friday’s ⁢game against ​Yale due to illness, came back with‍ a vengeance, stopping 22 shots⁣ in the ​third period to‌ secure the win for his‍ team.

John ⁢Evans also played a pivotal role in ⁤the victory, ‌scoring the game-winning ⁣goal on a penalty shot early in ​the third period. Evans, ⁣who had‍ earlier assisted ​on Tyler Hotson’s second-period goal, sealed the deal with his ‍clutch performance.

“It was a hard-fought game, and I’m proud‌ of the way our team battled,” said head coach ⁤Mike Smith. “Watson was outstanding in goal,⁤ and Evans came through in‌ the clutch. It was a great⁤ team effort.”
