Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Albany
ALBANY – A Schenectady man has been charged with attempted murder of a man in September in Albany, police said Monday.
Devonte Dent, 23, of Schenectady, was arrested Sunday after a domestic dispute in the area of North Manning Boulevard and Third Street, police said.
That incident resulted in Dent being charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, accused possessing a .44 caliber revolver, police said.
Police then also charged him in connection with a shooting from Sept. 10 in the area of Bradford and Quail streets where a 19-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his upper thigh, police said.
Dent was charged in that case with second-degree attempted murder, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal mischief.
Dent was arraigned and ordered held.
