Schenectady Police Investigate Shots Fired Incident and Car Crash
SCHENECTADY – The Schenectady police are currently investigating a concerning incident that took place on Elmer Avenue Monday evening.
According to a press release, officers responded at 9:47 p.m. to the 100 block of Elmer for reports of a car that crashed into a house. Simultaneously, there were also 911 callers reporting gunfire.
Upon arriving, police found a vehicle that had driven onto a lawn and struck a front porch. It was determined that the crash occurred after the vehicle was shot at by two unknown suspects who were on foot. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
During the investigation, one shell casing was found at the scene, according to police. No one was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
