Exciting news for basketball fans! The brackets for the 2024 Section 2 Girls Basketball Tournament across all classes were unveiled this Wednesday.
What are the key takeaways? In Class AAA, Shenendehowa has clinched the top seed, followed by Saratoga at 5 and Schenectady at 6.
In Class AA, Niskayuna has secured the 4th seed, Mohonasen the 8th, who will be up against 9th seed Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. Amsterdam and Ballston Spa have secured the 10th and 6th seeds respectively.
In Class A, Broadalbin-Perth has bagged the 3rd seed, Schalmont the 4th, who will be facing Scotia-Glenville at 5. Gloversville has secured the 8th seed.
In Class B, Mechanicville has the 3rd seed, Stillwater the 4th, Cobleskill-Richmondville the 7th, Fonda-Fultonville the 10th and Schuylerville the 12th.
In Class C, Duanesburg has the 2nd seed, Mayfield the 3rd, Waterford-Halfmoon the 13th and Mekeel Christian the 14th.
And finally, in Class D, Northville has the top seed, followed by Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons at 3 and Saratoga Catholic at 4.
