SCHENECTADY — This weekend, local families have the opportunity to come together and celebrate the spirit of Valentine’s Day at a special family dance. The event is scheduled to take place at the Schenectady YMCA on Saturday evening.
The event, which is free of charge, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the YMCA’s location at 433 State St.
Hosted by the Capital District YMCA, the family dance promises a variety of fun-filled activities designed to entertain children of all age groups.
“We invite families to join us at the Schenectady Y this Valentine’s Day for an evening filled with dancing, laughter, and quality family time,” said David Byrd, the executive director of Capital District YMCA’s Schenectady branch, in a recent statement.
There is no need to pre-register for the event. However, it is important to note that children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to attend the dance.
In a special offer, any attendee who decides to become a CDYMCA member at the event will have their joiner’s fee completely waived.
For additional information about the family dance, please contact Emily Lang Anastasio, the Capital District YMCA director of marketing, at elang@cdymca.org.
