SCHENECTADY – In a significant development in an ongoing drug investigation, a residential property on Oregon Avenue was the target of a police raid on Tuesday. The operation led to the arrest of a woman, as confirmed by the New York State Police on Wednesday.
The woman in question is Kora N. Kluge, a 32-year-old resident of Schenectady. She is now facing a series of drug-related charges, according to the police report.
The police operation took place at 797 Oregon Ave., where Kluge was apprehended. The raid also led to the discovery of drugs in quantities significant enough to warrant felony charges.
The investigation was initiated in March when authorities started to scrutinize what they suspected to be illicit activities linked to the Oregon Avenue residence, as per a police statement.
As the investigation progressed, the police were able to secure a search warrant for the property at 797 Oregon Ave.
Alongside Kluge’s arrest, the raid also led to the apprehension of two other individuals. One is a woman from Halfmoon who was wanted on outstanding warrants from Halfmoon, and the other is a woman from Brooklyn who was wanted for a parole violation.
Kluge is now facing charges of third-degree, fourth-degree, and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all of which are felonies.
Following her arraignment, Kluge was ordered to be detained.
