Work to Start on Maxon Road Extension Paving from Monday

SCHENECTADY — Starting from ​Monday, Maxon Road Extension will undergo a week-long milling and paving operation. During this period, only a single lane will be ‌open for traffic.

A comprehensive traffic control ⁤plan ⁢has been put in⁢ place⁤ to ensure smooth flow ⁣of traffic through a single lane.

The city authorities ‍are urging all motorists‌ to exercise caution and be aware of the⁤ detour ⁤routes via Seneca Street and Van Vranken‌ Avenue.

During the road work, Alexander, Hudson and ⁢Van ‍Der Bogart streets will only ‍be accessible to local traffic between Van Vranken Avenue and Maxon Road.

From ⁤July 15-22, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., the following locations ⁢will be milled and paved,⁤ and no⁢ parking ⁣will be allowed:

  • Maxon Road Extension from Van Vranken Avenue to Erie ​Boulevard
  • The intersection⁢ of Maxon Road Extension⁢ with Stevenson Street and Van Vranken Avenue
  • The intersection of Maxon Road Extension with ⁢Hudson ‌Street
  • The intersection of Maxon Road Extension with Van Der Bogart Street
  • The intersection of Maxon Road ⁣Extension with Alexander Street
  • The intersection of Maxon ​Road Extension with Technology Drive
  • The intersection of Maxon Road Extension with Erie Boulevard and ⁤Freemans Bridge Road
  • Van Vranken Avenue from⁤ Maxon Road Extension​ to Anthony Street (both sides)
  • The intersection of Van Vranken Avenue with‌ Hillside Avenue
  • The intersection ⁢of Van Vranken Avenue with North⁢ End Drive
  • The intersection of Van Vranken Avenue with Anthony⁣ Street
