Schenectady County Chamber seeks nominations for business accolades

SCHENECTADY — The Schenectady County Chamber,​ a branch of the Capital Region Chamber, is thrilled⁤ to announce‌ that it is now open for nominations for the ⁤prestigious 2024 Schenectady Business Awards, scheduled to take place in October.

Every year, the Chamber takes the opportunity to celebrate ⁣businesses within the county that have made significant positive ‍impacts on the ⁣community. If you know of a business that deserves⁣ recognition, you can nominate them through ​an online form. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Aug. 16.

In a recent press release, the Chamber called upon the community to assist in identifying⁤ deserving Schenectady County businesses to be honored this year.

“These organizations play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the economic health of the County, which in⁣ turn improves the quality of life for all residents,” the press release stated.

The following categories are open ⁢for nominations: ‍the Rising Star/Outstanding New Business Award, which acknowledges a promising ⁤local business ⁣established within the last three years; the Business⁤ Innovation Award, which celebrates a business for creating a new market, product or service; the Corporation of the⁤ Year Award, which applauds an established company for its accomplishments in growth and management; the Business Leader Award, which recognizes an individual ‍for exceptional business acumen, leadership and results; and‍ the Renaissance Award, ⁣which​ honors a project that‌ contributes to the ‍ongoing revitalization of Schenectady County.

The selection committee will make its decisions based solely on the information provided‍ in the nomination forms,⁤ so those nominating are encouraged to provide comprehensive and detailed testimonies. To be⁤ eligible, an organization or individual should not have received a Schenectady Business Award in the past decade. A list of‍ previous award recipients can be found online.

This year’s awards will be presented at the elegant Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia on Oct. 9. The evening will commence with a cocktail reception at⁤ 5 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 6. To attend the event, please register online through the Chamber ‍website.
