PARIS — On the final day of the Olympics, a daring adventurer took on the challenge of scaling the north face of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. His audacious climb was abruptly halted midway by the local police, according to reports from French media outlets.
Witnesses captured the thrilling event on their phones, sharing videos on various social media platforms. The footage revealed the climber, shirtless and devoid of any safety ropes, skillfully navigating around the Olympic rings as he ascended the tower.
In one particularly memorable clip, the climber, grinning broadly, can be heard making light of the situation. He quips to the onlookers, “bloody warm, innit?” as he is led away from the viewing platform by the police.
