Katie Pascale, a notable figure in the UAlbany women’s lacrosse team, is not parting ways with the team just yet.
On Wednesday, the school made an exciting announcement that Pascale has been appointed as an assistant coach for the Great Danes.
“I’m deeply honored and immensely thankful for the chance to continue my journey with this extraordinary program,” Pascale expressed in a press release. “This role is a privilege that I don’t take lightly, and I’m eager to work alongside this group of highly skilled individuals. As a proud alumna, there’s no other place I’d rather begin my coaching career.”
Pascale, a recent graduate in May, has a remarkable four-year playing history with UAlbany. She has set school records in career points (307), assists (144), and draw controls (342), and also holds single-season records in points (92) and draw controls (139).
“We are overjoyed to welcome Katie to our coaching team and are confident that she will continue to make a positive impact on the program,” head coach Katie Thomson stated in the press release. “Katie’s energy, passion, and competitive spirit are unmatched; and her insights and experiences as a recent graduate will be invaluable in guiding our players in all facets of their lives.”
Disagree with the decision, think there are better candidates.
