SCHENECTADY – An unexpected incident occurred at Schenectady High School when a student was discovered carrying a BB gun on school premises, as reported by the school district.
The event unfolded on Monday afternoon, according to school officials.
Another student, demonstrating responsibility and alertness, reported seeing a fellow student with a gun concealed in his waistband, as per the district’s website announcement.
The school’s administration, in collaboration with Community Engagement Officers, promptly located the student in question and confiscated what was identified as a BB gun.
The school administration, in conjunction with the police, are currently investigating the matter to ascertain if legal charges are warranted.
