Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Girls’ Soccer Team Shuts Out Colonie 1-0: Thursday’s Section 2 Results

In an exciting Suburban Council match, Julia James⁢ netted a⁤ goal with the help of Evelyn‌ Hooper, securing a ⁤1-0⁢ triumph for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake over ‍Colonie.

Shenendehowa’s Brittany Tetlack was on fire, scoring a hat trick to lead her⁤ team‌ to a 5-2 victory against Ballston Spa.

Julia Dirrado and Madelyn Barbera ‌also ​contributed to Shenendehowa’s win‌ with a⁢ goal each.

In another Suburban​ Council match, ‍Ava Goodman made a stunning start by scoring three goals within⁤ the first⁣ 10 minutes, helping Saratoga ‌Springs to a 9-0 shutout against⁤ Schenectady.

Olivia ⁢Goodman added two more goals in ‌the second half for‌ the Blue Streaks (7-2-1 SC, 9-2-1 overall), who had a comfortable 6-0 lead ‍at halftime.

In the Foothills Council, Broadalbin-Perth showcased‌ a balanced offense with Morgan Egan, ⁢Anja Gatto, and Olivia Rogers‌ each contributing a goal and an assist, leading the Patriots to ⁣a 5-0 clean sheet ⁢against Schuylerville.

Molly Russom and ⁢Chase Tyler also​ found the back of the net for B-P, while Macie Perry made ‍an impressive nine saves.

In the Colonial Council, Maggie Mullin and ⁢Elcie ⁤Ferreira each⁤ scored a brace, ‍helping Mohonasen to a 9-0 shutout ⁤against ​Cohoes.

Ella Mullin, Jordyn Edwards, Olivia Andriola,‍ Ella​ Craver, and Jianna Schuch⁤ also‌ contributed⁤ to⁣ the scoreline, while ⁢Izzy Chute made three saves for Mohonasen.

Also in ​the Colonial ⁤Council, Albany Academy emerged victorious against Catholic ⁤Central with ⁢a 4-1 scoreline.

In the Western Athletic Conference, Schoharie ⁤managed a 4-1 win over Duanesburg/Berne-Knox-Westerlo, with two​ goals from Evelyn Messner and one each from Lily Ballard and Olivia Borst.

Lily Arduini and‌ Brooke Arduini each ⁣contributed a‍ goal and⁤ an assist, leading ⁣OESJ to‌ a 3-0⁢ win over Canajoharie/Fort ‍Plain.

Aaliyah Richon also ⁢found​ the back of the net for OESJ.

In a ‌non-league match, Bolton-Warrensburg defeated Mekeel Christian 4-0, ⁣with goals from Hailey Goodspeed, Madison Goodspeed, Caitlin O’Donnell, and Maille‌ Kelly.
