Siena College’s softball program is thrilled to welcome Michelle Connors, the former head coach of Union College, to their coaching staff. The announcement was made by Casey Bump, the head coach of Siena College softball team, on Monday. In addition to her coaching duties, Connors will also take on the role of Siena’s fall intramural coordinator.
Connors brings with her a wealth of experience, having spent 11 years as head coach and a total of 13 years at Union. During her tenure, she guided the Garnet Chargers to four appearances in the Liberty League Tournament, including a memorable run to the 2015 final. She also mentored 27 Union players who made it to the All-Liberty League teams.
Connors, a 2010 graduate of UAlbany, has a strong track record as a player as well. She was instrumental in leading the Great Danes to an America East championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament regional final. Connors also holds a high school diploma from Shenendehowa.
Disagree – Siena should have hired someone new instead of bringing in a former coach.
Good punctuation and grammar, agree
Excited to see what expertise and experience Connors can bring to the Siena softball team as an assistant coach.
