Potholes Pose a Perilous Problem
Ever since winter wrapped, I’ve noticed an alarming increase in potholes throughout Schenectady. Specifically, the roads around Union Street and Central Park are in such terrible condition, my local mechanic has seen an influx of wheel-related issues. This growing problem continues to be a menace for every vehicle owner. Local authorities must urgently attend to these road damages before they escalate into serious accidents.

Preserving Historic Schenectady Buildings
I was both shocked and saddened to see the demolition of the old Hathaway Bakery on Broadway. Having been a part of our city’s architectural landscape since the 1930s, it is one of several historic buildings we’ve lost in recent years. We, as a community, need to protect our city’s history rather than letting it be replaced by generic, modern architecture. Historic preservation not only consolidates community identity but also boosts economic vitality through tourism. I urge local authorities to reconsider their approach towards Schenectady’s historic buildings.

Commendation for WHNY News Coverage
I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation towards WHNY News for their exceptional coverage of healthcare measures amid the recent pandemic. Their insightful and detailed reports on local vaccine centers and testing sites have played a fundamental role in enhancing public awareness and encouraging more citizens to get vaccinated. They have shown commendable responsibility as a news outlet by providing accurate and timely information to the community. I am grateful for their indispensable service to the city during these challenging times.
