ALBANY ‍- Court records reveal that a resident of Schenectady recently entered‍ a guilty plea in federal court, admitting ⁣to charges related to the illegal possession of a machine ⁣gun and a firearm used in a drug-related crime.

On November 21, Elijahquan Cedeno, a 21-year-old man, confessed⁢ to one count ⁢each of illegal possession⁤ of a ‌machine gun and possession of a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking offense, as per the details⁣ of his plea agreement.

The charges originated from an event that took place‌ on August 19,⁣ where Cedeno was found with a Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun, ‌equipped‌ with a machine gun conversion device and a removed serial number, as stated in the agreement.

The agreement further explains that the Glock had been altered to enable it to fire multiple shots automatically.

According ⁤to the plea agreement, Cedeno had the loaded weapon in a shoulder bag in his‌ vehicle while he was on his way to‌ sell marijuana to another individual in Schenectady.

After the drug deal,⁢ police attempted to apprehend ⁢Cedeno, but he managed to escape at⁤ high speed, as per the agreement.

During his escape, he handed ⁤the bag containing ⁤the gun to his passenger and instructed them ‌to discard it out of the window, as detailed in the ⁢agreement.

He subsequently parked his vehicle at a ⁢different location and attempted to escape on foot along with his passenger. However, they ‌were quickly ⁣apprehended by the‍ police, who also managed to recover the bag containing the Glock.

Upon questioning, Cedeno confessed to owning the gun, possessing it during the drug deal, and instructing his passenger ⁣to‍ dispose ⁤of it while they were fleeing from the police.

His sentencing is scheduled‍ for September, and the agreement stipulates⁢ that he cannot appeal a sentence of slightly over 10 years or ⁤less.
