SCHENECTADY – A three-story building on Crane Street in Schenectady was the site of a fire outbreak on Thursday, to which local firefighters promptly responded.
Assistant Fire Chief Matt Reinemann confirmed that there were no immediate reports of injuries resulting from the incident.
The fire department received the call about the fire at the 828 Crane St. building late in the morning. Firefighting crews were on the scene well into the afternoon, tirelessly battling the blaze with water from their fire trucks and ladders.
The ground floor of the building houses two businesses, Elegant Curtains and Singh West Indian Grocery, as indicated by the signage on the building.
