John A. Miller left us on a calm and serene morning, after a battle with a prolonged illness. Born in Schenectady, NY, John was a man of unwavering principle and profound courage. He dedicated his life to serving his country in the U.S. Navy, where he rose to the rank of Captain. Throughout his distinguished career, John was recognized for his leadership and valor, receiving numerous commendations.

After 30 years of service, John continued to be an active member of the veterans’ community, offering his wisdom and support to fellow servicemen and women. His dedication to his country was matched only by his commitment to his family. A loving husband and father, John’s legacy of strength and kindness is carried on by his wife, Elizabeth, his two children, Michael and Anne, and his four grandchildren.

Beyond his family, John will be remembered by the many lives he touched with his charitable work and community involvement. He was a beacon of hope and an advocate for veterans’ rights, tirelessly working to improve the lives of those who served.

A public service to honor John’s memory will be held at the local veterans’ hall this Saturday at 11 am, where friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by John are welcome to pay their respects and celebrate a life truly well-lived.
