It was a long day for RPI, which surrendered nine goals in the first two periods in a 9-2 non-conference loss to Northeastern at Houston Field House on Sunday.
Just one day after the teams tied 3-3, Northeastern (3-7-1) outscored RPI (2-7-1) 4-1 in the first period before tacking on five in the second. The Huskies’ power play was effective, as Northeastern’s first two goals of the second came that way, and it added a third later in the period.
Jack Williams and Alex Campbell each had two goals for Northeastern. Dovar Tinling scored with 54 seconds left in the first for RPI, and Jake Gagnon scored at 4:35 of the final period.

I somewhat agree with this, Northeastern’s play was impeccably good, the RPI’s men’s hockey team truly had no chance. Yet, there’s room for improvement in both teams.
