Isabella Martinez left us at the age of 53, her life a brilliant reflection of her vibrant spirit and the deep love she had for her family and community.

Born into the sun-drenched landscapes of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Isabella’s journey led her to Schenectady, New York, where she became an esteemed member of the community. She was a gifted artist and a beloved art teacher at the local high school, encouraging her students to express themselves and to find beauty in the world around them.

Her passion for art was paralleled by her dedication to social work, often volunteering at shelters and advocating for the homeless. Isabella’s warmth and empathy made a lasting impact on those she helped.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos; their two children, Sofia and Gabriel; and a large, loving extended family that spans across the country. Her generosity and zest for life will be deeply missed.

Isabella’s service will be held in the gallery where her artwork was often showcased, next Sunday evening. Family, friends, and all those touched by her compassion are invited to come together to honor a life that was as colorful and inspiring as her paintings.
