MALTA – A Schenectady woman was seriously hurt in a crash Monday evening as she and another person were pushing a car in Malta, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
The woman, 41, was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment, officials said.
The crash happened before 6 p.m. on the Round Lake bypass in Malta, officials said.
The woman and the other person were pushing the car when it was struck by another car, officials said. A release did not specify what led to the two people pushing the car or give further details.
The investigation into the crash remained ongoing.
The bypass was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Malta/Stillwater EMS, the Round Lake Fire Department, Malta Ridge Fire Department, Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management, New York State Police and the NYS Department of Transportation.
