From the heart of the CAPITAL REGION – Here’s a roundup of the latest high school girls’‍ soccer games that took place across the Capital Region.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8

Mechanicville’s girls’ soccer team dominated​ the field with a 7-0 victory ⁢over Cooperstown in a recent tournament match. Maddy Hopeck was the star of ​the game, netting ⁣four goals. Anna Izzo, Gianna ⁢Pitts,⁢ and Mia Beyer also⁢ contributed to the scoreline with one ​goal ‌each. Madison Daley and Emma Andrews provided two assists each, while Beyer​ added one⁣ more.

Chatham emerged victorious against ‍Scotia-Glenville with a ⁤3-1 ‌scoreline. Addi Perry was the standout player, scoring two goals for ‍the Panthers, while ⁢Marianna Chudy added one more. Karina Lezama provided two assists in the win.

Beekmantown defeated Queensbury ‍6-0, with three goals scored in each half. Despite Finley Magee’s impressive 16 saves‍ for Queensbury, Parliament Payton’s hat trick led Beekmantown to victory.

Burnt Hills-Ballston⁤ Lake lost a close game against Nardin 2-1.⁤ The lone goal ‌for the Spartans was scored by Alana Yahoudy, assisted by Olivia Dugan.

Stillwater and ‌Bronxville ended‍ in a stalemate with a scoreless⁢ tie. Miranda Price and Ally Liamero shared goalkeeping duties, making two and ⁤three saves ​respectively.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 7

Stillwater secured a 3-0 win over‍ O’Neill in the NYSSCOGS‌ Hall of Fame Tournament, thanks to a goal and an assist from Brooke Coon.

Sofia Perniciaro and‌ Brooke⁤ Hodgson also⁢ found the back of the‌ net for Stillwater, contributing to ⁣the victory.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake triumphed‍ over Cicero-North Syracuse 2-0, with Julia James⁢ scoring both goals‍ for the Spartans,‍ assisted twice by Olivia Dugan.

Chatham recorded a 5-0 win over Edmeston-Morris at the NYSSCOGS ‍tournament,​ led⁣ by a​ hat trick from Addi Perry. Marianna ‌Chudy added a goal and two assists for the Panthers,​ Jenna Davis also scored and Emily Moschini kept a clean sheet with six saves.

St. ⁣Anthony’s defeated Niskayuna 6-1, with two goals ⁤from Avrie Nelsen and additional goals from Emily DeSousa, Josephine Cutolo, ⁢Quinci Gallagher, ​and Samantha Maurino. Addison Brys scored‍ Niskayuna’s⁣ lone goal, assisted by Abby Helmecke.

At the Middleburgh Tournament, Schoharie edged out a 3-2 win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo/Duanesburg. Goals were scored by Lily Ballard, Evelyn ⁤Messner, and⁣ Briana Repscher for​ Schoharie,‌ with Ballard‌ and Messner also providing an assist each. Julianna Slater ‌made ​six saves.

Molly Laudato and Madelyn⁣ Emmerich scored for B-K-W/Duanesburg, with Natalie Tilton providing an assist and Morgan Krouse making 15 saves.

Saratoga Catholic defeated host Middleburgh 2-0, with both goals scored by Sydney Caracci. Grace Schafer and Addison ⁢Quail provided the assists.

FRIDAY,⁤ SEPT. 6

Megan Goyette⁤ and Kyra Buhrmaster scored in each ⁣half respectively, leading Niskayuna to a 3-0 victory⁤ over Fayetteville-Manlius in the⁤ NYSSCOGS Hall of Fame Tournament.‍ Niskayuna’s third goal was an own goal by F-M. Lauren​ Vaccaro made four saves for Niskayuna.

Mechanicville managed to pull off a 4-4 tie against three-time defending state champion Mount Academy ‍at the NYSSCOGS tournament, despite trailing 2-0 at ⁤halftime. Gianna ⁤Pitts was the standout player for Mechanicville, scoring three goals, while Maddy ​Hopeck‍ added one.

In another match at the NYSSCOGS tournament, OESJ defeated Cooperstown 4-1. The game was tied 1-1 at halftime, but OESJ pulled away ⁢in the second half with two goals each from Lily Arduini and Sadie Snell.

Madison Pasquini scored the only goal of the match, and⁣ goalie Morgan ​Krouse made eight saves as Berne-Knox-Westerlo/Duanesburg defeated Galway 1-0 in a non-league game.

Ella Grupe led Greenville to a 5-1 victory ⁤over‍ Rhinebeck in a non-league game, scoring​ three goals and providing an assist. Carri Flannery and‍ Liz Davis also found ‍the back of the net for Greenville.

Sofia ⁢Bouplon and Jordyn​ Chrysler led Voorheesville to a 9-0 non-league victory over Hoosic Valley, scoring four and ‌three goals respectively.

Sydney ⁢Silva scored two goals and provided an assist,⁣ while Ella Cogliandro, Lyla Pinkowski, Skye Swartz, Skyler ⁣MacIntosh, and Eve McTarnaghan each ⁣scored a goal, leading Maple Hill to a 7-0 victory over Salem.

Ava VanNostrand scored ⁤the ⁣only goal of the match, and Maya Rohling made⁢ one save as Mayfield⁣ shut out Corinth 1-0 in a non-league game.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 5

Ballston Spa triumphed over Broadalbin-Perth 6-0‌ in a non-league match.‌ Leah Szmarz, Ayla Hathaway, Maggie Zito, Aidia Hunter, and Ainsley Dolan all found ‌the back of the net, with Broadalbin-Perth also ‌conceding an own goal.⁤ McKenna Szmarz and Avery Hunter provided assists. Broadalbin-Perth’s goalkeeper Sammy Sniezyk⁢ made 14 saves.

Queensbury and Schuylerville ended in a 1-1 ⁤draw in a non-league ⁣match. Ava Goertzen scored for Queensbury, assisted by Emily Sassaman, while Makenna DeLession ‍scored for Schuylerville, assisted by Alex Hill. Avery Cumm made seven saves for Schuylerville, and Finley Magee made eight saves for Queensbury.

Saratoga Springs defeated ‌Colonie 3-1 in a Suburban Council match. The Blue Streaks’ goals were scored by Ava Goodman and Lucia DeVito, who ⁣was assisted by Charlotte Kay, along with a Colonie own‌ goal.‌ Lily Palmer scored the only goal⁤ for Colonie. Saratoga outshot‍ Colonie 28-2, with Colonie’s goalkeeper Ella Dannehy making 15 ⁣saves compared‌ to Olivia ⁤Goodman’s one ​for the Blue ‌Streaks.

Aaliyah Hotaling ⁤led Voorheesville⁣ to a 6-1 Colonial Council victory over Albany Academy, scoring three goals. Sofia⁢ Bouplon added two goals and an assist, and Allie Giglio also found the back of‌ the net. Riley Chismark provided two assists while Sofia Storrow added one. ‌Sophie Farrell​ and ⁤Brie Hillman both made four saves.

Ella Mullin was the star of the match, ⁢scoring four⁤ goals and providing three assists to lead Mohonasen to an 8-1 victory over Ichabod Crane. Maggie Mullin added three goals and ⁤one assist, while Ella Craver scored a goal and provided an assist. Olivia Andriola provided two assists. Kiley Melanson scored the only goal for the Riders.

Schoharie and Cobleskill-Richmondville ended in a thrilling 5-5 draw in a ​Western Athletic Conference match. Schoharie’s Evelyn Messner and Lily Ballard each scored two goals and provided an assist, with Briana Repscher also scoring. Keeper Julianna Slater made eight saves. For the Bulldogs, Luciana Coppolo scored three goals and provided an ​assist, ⁣Olivia Trendell ‍scored a ⁤goal and provided an assist, Payton Vacula scored a goal, and Laney Trappenburg recorded an assist.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4

The Stillwater girls’ soccer ​team secured⁤ a 3-0 non-league victory over South Glens Falls. Brooke Coon opened⁤ the⁤ scoring in the ‌first minute of the game, assisted by Elliott⁣ Patenaude.

Ashley Coffey added another goal for the Warriors just before the ‍end ⁤of the first half, assisted⁢ by Brooke Hodgson.⁢ Emmersyn Patenaude scored‌ Stillwater’s third goal in the second half, again assisted by Hodgson. South Glens Falls’ goalkeeper Emmalee Sheeran made ⁤12 saves in the loss.
