Concern Over Proposed Casino
With the recent news reports of a new casino being proposed in Schenectady, I feel it’s important to express my concerns. Many believe it will bring jobs, but we must also worry about the potential ramifications including increased crime rates and gambling addiction in our community. Surely, there are other ways to stimulate employment and the city’s revenue without resorting to gambling establishments.

Ongoing Traffic Problem on Union Street
Just like so many others in our wonderful community, I am frustrated by the frequent traffic jams on Union Street. They are mostly due to poor traffic signal timing and it is adversely affecting travel time. With the city growing at such a fast pace, I believe the authorities must pay attention to the issue and consider improving our traffic framework, before it becomes an irreversible problem.
